Joint NGO letter to International Seabed Authority expresses concern at the proposal to hold December Council and Assembly meetings in person, in spite of global COVID-19 pandemic
The DSCC have written to the ISA’s Secretary-General to express serious concern at the proposal to hold a physical meeting of the ISA council from 6-10 December 2021 and a meeting of the ISA Assembly from 13-15 December 2021.
The letter has been sent on behalf of the DSCC together with Conservation International, Greenpeace, Earthworks, WWF, Civil Society Forum of Tonga, Deep Sea Mining Campaign, Ecologistas en Accion, MiningWatch Canada, Montescola, Ocean Care, Pacific Network on Globalisation, Pacific Blue Line, Sustainable Ocean Alliance, Sciaena, Seas at Risk, The Oxygen Project and Te Ipukarea Society
